Two modes, one neighborhood

Some days you want to race. Some days you just want company.

Duel

First to knock it wins.

A live, head-to-head race against a runner you meet in person.

  • Pair by scanning each other's phone — you're both at the start line, which is the whole point.
  • Agree a distance — 1, 3, 5 or 10 km. Either of you can counter until you both say yes.
  • Climb the ladder — every result moves your rating, ranked in your neighborhood and against everyone.
Run together

Nothing timed. Nobody ranked.

Find runners at your pace and plan a run anyone nearby can join.

  • Runners at your pace — Nearby sorts your neighborhood by how close their easy pace is to yours.
  • Host a run — easy, long, tempo, intervals or track, with a day, a time and a pace.
  • Meet at a real place — "the steps of Hala Stulecia", with a map pin if you like. Join, leave, show up.
How a duel works

Two phones, one start line.

  1. Meet up

    Find someone on Nearby, or challenge the runner you just met at the park.

  2. Scan

    One of you shows a code, the other scans it. The phones are paired.

  3. Agree

    Settle the distance. When you both accept, a shared 3‑2‑1 counts you in.

  4. Race

    GPS measures both of you. See each other's distance live — first to knock it wins.

Private by design

We connect runners, not their locations.

Never your position

Other runners see your neighborhood and your pace — never where you are. In a duel, your opponent sees how far you've run, nothing more.

Rounded to a kilometre

To suggest your neighborhood, the app sends your location rounded to about a kilometre, and we don't keep it.

No ads, no trackers

No advertising, no analytics SDKs, nothing sold. One switch hides you from Nearby altogether.
